Frequently Asked Questions
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET A FACIAL?
You can do as little as monthly or once a week. Depending on your skin care goals we can go over your treatment plan.
SHOULD I HAVE A FACIAL BEFORE AN IMPORTANT EVENT?
Absolutely! Your skin will look healthy and glowing directly after your service.
Additionally, if you will be having a makeup service, your skin will be a clean and smooth canvas for flawless application!
You should book 7-14 days in advance so that your skin can recover and look it's best.
MAY I HAVE A WAXING SERVICE DURING MY FACIAL?
Yes. This is no problem to accommodate. The only exception will be any contraindications you identify in your client consultation form.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE BEFORE MY FACIAL?
Please note your current products that you use at home (take a picture if possible). We would like to know what you are currently using to better prepare the proper treatment and advice for home care.
Do not shave (male clients) this will prevent any skin sensitivity during your facial.
WHY SHOULD I WAX?
Waxing is one of the best ways to temporarily remove unwanted hair. It is more effective than shaving because it removes hair from the roots, not just from the skin’s surface. Over time, hair in waxed areas will grow back lighter and more sparse, or not at all.
HOW LONG DOES MY HAIR NEED TO BE?
Hair needs to be 1/4 inch long. If it is too short, the hair will be difficult to remove. More pain is associated with longer growth. If you typically shave please allow 7-10 days between shaving and waxing.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I WAX?
If this is your first waxing experience you can reasonably expect your result to last anywhere between 3 and 6 weeks with minimal growth in the days and weeks following your initial appointment.
Depending how quickly your hair grows and your hair regrowth pattern, you should book every 3 - 4 weeks, you will notice an improvement in regard to the longevity of your results as you become regular with your waxing services.
WHO SHOULD NOT BE WAXED?
Anyone currently taking Accutain or who has taken Accutain at any time within the past 6 months.
Anyone who has an active Herpes outbreak
Anyone with a sunburn on the area to be treated
Anyone who has had a chemical peel over the treatment within the past 7 days
Anyone who has used any type of Retinol within the past 36 hours over the treatment area
Any area of the skin showing signs of trauma, varricose veins, open or active acne lesions, eczema, psoriasis or any type of dermatitis will not be waxed
